Welcome to the official Imagine School at Lakewood Ranch Internet Site. The purpose of this site is two fold. First of all, this site will provide parents, both prospective and those with children enrolled in our school, with a plethora of pertinent school information. Secondly, we envision this site developing into an integral part of our school curriculum. We intend to utilize this site as an educational tool that will challenge our students and innovate our teachers' instruction. We hope that you enjoy your time here!

A seat lottery will be constituted when there are more students interested than there are seats available in a grade. For example, we are hoping to have 72 students in our second grade for next school year. If we have 61 students move from first grade to second grade (we honor those students currently in the school), there are 11 open seats available. If we have 15 students interested in those 11 seats, then we would use a lottery to fill the spots. The lottery happens regardless of chronological pre-enrollment.
In the same scenario described above, if only eight students are interested in the eleven spots, no lottery would be needed.
We will be contacting those that have seats secure in our school for the
2010-2011 school year the first week of March.

Brief History of Imagine School at Lakewood Ranch
Imagine School at Lakewood Ranch was founded in August of 2008. We started the school year with 57 students in a temporary location, the Braden River Baptist Church. During our time at the Braden River Baptist Church, our dedicated teachers, parents, and students bonded together and laid the foundation to "a learning community full of achievement and hope".
Utilizing the Imagine Schools' Shared Values of Integrity, Justice, and Fun as a guiding force, Imagine School at Lakewood Ranch found itself growing and growing. By the time December was upon us, Imagine School at Lakewood Ranch had increased enrollment from 57 students to 82 students.
This increase in our enrollment could be attributed to three factors:
1.) The Imagine School culture we instilled here that asks parents, teachers, students, and school leaders to work together and make decisions that are important and worthwhile. At Imagine School at Lakewood Ranch, a sense of pride and ownership is present in all of our stakeholders.
2.) Our instructional delivery model, Project CHILD which provides students with an individual educational experience that is unique to each child.
3.) The people we have put in place to provide children with meaningful worthwhile lessons and activities that instill a love of learning in our students.
In January, we moved to our beautiful permanent location in Lakewood Ranch. At our permanent location, Imagine School at Lakewood Ranch welcomed another 70 students to our learning community. With 152 students, Imagine School at Lakewood Ranch was a thriving institute of education.
The 2009-2010 school year has been one of growth and success. At this point in time, we have 461 students that call Imagine School at Lakewood Ranch their home. These students, from VPK to 7th grade, walk into their classrooms knowing they will interact with a group of educators that are not only innovative with their instruction, but also dedicated to making every child feel unique and special.
Last year, the stakeholders of Imagine School at Lakewood Ranch felt that this was "The Start of Something Special". Working together, parents, students, teachers, and school leaders were able to make this mantra a reality.
With our track record of success, we have set high expectations for the 2009-2010 school year. With this being said, Imagine School at Lakewood Ranch is "Committed to Exceeding the Highest of Expectations".
